JULY 2025 — The Heart of Woodstock
Submissions Due: June 20 | Artist Selection: June 25
Exhibit Dates: July 8 – August 3
Celebrate the charm, history, and spirit of Woodstock. Artists are invited to submit pieces that reflect the town’s architecture, landscapes, and vibrant community life.
AUGUST 2025 — Past Artists Encore: The Art of Returning Voices
Submissions Due: July 20 | Artist Selection July 25
Exhibit Dates: August 5 – August 31
This special exhibit reunites artists who have previously shown work in the Opera House Gallery, offering them a chance to share their creative growth and enduring connection to the space.

Opera House Art Gallery Announces Call for Artists for Summer Monthly Exhibits
Woodstock, IL - The Woodstock Opera House invites local and regional artists to submit artwork for consideration in its rotating monthly exhibits held in the Community Room. Located in the heart of the historic Woodstock Square, the Opera House exhibit provides a welcoming and accessible space for artists to share their work with the public.Exhibits run monthly, beginning on Tuesday of the first full week of each month. Submission Guidelines
- Submission Details: Artists may submit works for any upcoming exhibit at any time. They do not need to wait until the month before. You will be asked to provide details about your piece(s), including title, dimensions, and image of your work(s), and a brief artist statement to help our team and visitors connect with your creative vision.

Exhibits

- Deadline: 20th of the month prior to the exhibit. Artists will be selected notified by the 25th.
- Cost: Submission is free. If selected, participation is $20 for the first piece and $10 for each additional piece.
- Mediums Accepted: All visual art forms including painting, photography, mixed media, illustration. If selected, artworks must be ready to hang/display and meet basic safety and presentation standards. Selected artists will coordinate delivery and installation with Opera House staff.
