In this 90-minute comprehensive workshop, we will discuss the art of hiring and firing in today’s world.
There is a common saying in employment law, hire slowly, fire quickly. While in a perfect world you would have the luxury of slowly sorting through a dozen applications, it may seem like there is a shortage of workers capable and willing to work. The tendency is to hire quickly before the candidate gets away and a hesitation to terminate a poor performing employee.
Despite the seemingly limited job market, the rule of hire slowly and fire quickly is vitally important, especially for a small to midsize company. We will discuss the art of hiring slowly and firing quickly so that you can build a successful team that aligns with your vision of success.
Remember, hiring and firing correctly is an art and not a science. There is no single way to hire and fire, but there are any number of ways to do it badly. That is what we will be discussing.
