Residential Electronics Collection Event

McHenry County Department of Health (MCDH) is providing a no cost residential electronics collection and recycling event for County residents.  
The following event restrictions apply:

• Only electronics from McHenry County residential sources will be accepted.
• Each participant is limited to ten (10) residential electronics (televisions, computers, VCR's, video game consoles, printers, etc.)
• Participants must bring proof of McHenry County residency such as a valid driver's license, State of Illinois ID card or a copy of your current tax bill.

Appliances or devices containing refrigerant, liquids or chemicals cannot be accepted.  Also not acceptable are batteries; smoke/carbon monoxide detectors; thermostats, thermometers or similar mercury containg devices; light bulbs ballasts containing PCB's or devices/equipment contaminated with food waste, biological waste or sewage.

Businesses, commercial entities or non-county residents are not eligible to participate.  No other types of recyclable materials or waste will be collected at this event.
