Name: Learn How to Advocate for Children in Foster Care!
Date: January 24, 2023
Time: 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM CST
Event Description:
Attend this one-hour Informational Session at the Woodstock Library to hear how you can get involved with CASA of McHenry County to make a difference in the lives of children in the foster care system. Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) are volunteers who are appointed by the court to one case. A CASA volunteer is often the only constant adult in the child's life during their time in the system. The volunteer walks alongside the child, gets to know them, understands their needs, and reports back to the judge so she can make informed decisions about the child's living situation and permanency plan. You can make a real impact in the life of a child who has experienced abuse and neglect. Come find out more!
