City Band Concert/Groundhog Day Ice Cream Social
When Woodstock Willie makes his annual appearance on the Woodstock Square
February 2nd it is typically pretty cold! The furry mascot of the city’s Groundhog Day
festivities will find it warmer on June 4th for his next appearance. He won’t be looking
for his shadow but for ice cream. Woodstock’s Groundhog Day will be sponsoring an ice
cream social that will be held in conjunction with the concert in the park. The City Band
will be performing in the bandstand where Woodstock Willie makes his annual weather
prognostication.
All the fun of course is to commemorate the filming of the Bill Murray movie
“Groundhog Day” shot on the town square in 1992.
So bring a blanket or folding chair and come to the Woodstock Square at 7pm
